Sarah Dickson
I work alongside women, mothers, birthing parents, and young people, with a special focus on women’s mental health and maternal and perinatal wellbeing. My practice is dedicated to supporting people as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions, helping them make sense of their experiences and find resilience.I also support youth and rangatahi, guiding them to understand themselves more deeply and to build the skills needed to lead value-led, meaningful lives.
My counselling approach is relational and person-centred at its foundation. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed practices, and mindful somatic approaches to create a safe, compassionate space for growth and healing.
Coming from my own lived experience of mental health challenges, particularly perinatal distress, I value authentic connection and honour the unique story each person brings. My work is grounded in empathy, respect, and a commitment to walking alongside people as they discover strength and possibility within themselves.
