My Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, preventive, and whole-person focused, supporting both emotional wellbeing and the foundations of long-term mental and physical health.
I work from the understanding that mental health does not exist in isolation. Stress, nervous system regulation, lifestyle patterns, hormonal health, and lived experience all influence how we feel, cope, and function day to day.
Sessions are collaborative and paced, creating a safe and supportive space to explore emotional experiences while also building practical tools for regulation, resilience, and sustainable change.
Fees:
Counselling session 50min $150
Health coaching 45min-60min $150
Sliding scale available if eligible, WINZ counselling payment available.
Trauma-Informed & Nervous-System Aware
All care is grounded in trauma-informed practice. This means working with safety, choice, and consent at the centre, and supporting the nervous system rather than pushing through distress.
Clients are supported to better understand their stress responses, emotional patterns, and internal signals, and to develop tools that support regulation and stability over time.
Preventive Care
My work aligns with preventive care principles, focusing on early support and capacity-building rather than crisis-driven intervention.
This includes:
Supporting mental wellbeing before distress escalates
Strengthening protective factors for long-term health
Supporting sustainable lifestyle changes
Building skills for stress management and emotional regulation
The aim is to support clients to feel more resourced, informed, and capable in everyday life.

How Counselling Works
Counselling offers a supportive, confidential space to explore emotional experiences, patterns, and challenges that may be impacting mental health and overall wellbeing. Sessions are trauma-informed, paced, and collaborative, with a strong focus on emotional safety, regulation, and insight.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and may be offered weekly, fortnightly, or as needed, depending on individual needs and goals. Some people engage in counselling short term for support through a specific life period, while others choose longer-term work to explore deeper patterns, complex trauma, or ongoing stressors.
I work with a range of experiences, including complex trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, disordered eating, addiction, and the impacts of sexual and physical abuse. This work may also include exploring stress and burnout, nervous system responses, mood changes, relationship dynamics, identity, and the effects of past or ongoing life experiences.
Counselling is not about fixing or rushing change, but about understanding, integration, and building emotional capacity over time moving at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and sustainable.
How Health Coaching Works
Health coaching is a preventive, education-based service that supports practical changes to everyday habits and lifestyle patterns that influence both mental and physical health. Sessions focus on building awareness, understanding how the body responds to lifestyle inputs, and creating realistic, achievable steps toward improved wellbeing.
Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes and are often offered in time-limited blocks of 3–6 or 6–12 sessions, spaced fortnightly or monthly. Some clients also choose ongoing or seasonal check-ins for accountability and preventive care.
Health coaching may include support with:
Metabolic balance
Nutritional strategies
Preventing and managing chronic diseases
Sleep, energy, focus, and mood
Gut health and digestion
Hormonal health (including cycle health and perimenopause)
Eating, relationship with food, and body trust
Preventive and pre-clinical health patterns
Nutrition and eating support within health coaching is non-prescriptive and non-diet focused, emphasising nourishment, body awareness, and sustainable habits rather than restriction or rigid rules. Education and guidance are provided within scope and may complement medical or dietetic care where appropriate.
Health coaching can be accessed as a standalone service or integrated alongside counselling. When offered together, it bridges emotional support with practical lifestyle tools, supporting long-term wellbeing in a grounded, nervous-system-informed way.
